Anao ... ah! From this little barrio how could you ever think of having so many stories to tell? Already heard on of this? Now let me add to some what you know...
A little church somewhere in Caingin, it was an old one built during the Spanish regime that means that it is already more than a century old. Inside the church , there were these magnificent paintings on the ceilings and beautiful carvings on walls. The place has a different atmosphere, like it was so peaceful the best to reflect.
Another attraction of the place which you shouldnt miss seeing is that big but really old house near the school. It was a typical old Spanish style house, made with nothing but woods. Seeing that house is like taking a little peek of the life long before. The old Miguel D. Vergara, the owner of the school hectare of land here is a real Anao resident and owns that old house.Since Anao landscape continues to attract people to settle here, the old church isn't just enough to accommodate the village folk who are religious and put God at the midst of their lives.
Nowhere in Anao , Mexico will you be able to find one famous landmark . a place that gives light to everyone to share the night out. I'm referring to the PRESCO, or Pampanga Electric Cooperative. It serves 43 barangays. Most from Mexico , but there are also from Arayat and Sta Ana. With this important establishments Anaonians and the rest of the two nearby towns get the service they need as regard to their electricity their home and factories. Your travel to Anao will not be complete unless you experience the view of the vast jade-green rice and cornfields just before your eyes.
A visit on this place would give you that sense of tranquility and quietness that seems to refresh and calm the soul of anyone who is in deep thoughts.
